Noun. skae-di-yan (West, Lochac) skah-di-yan (AEthelmearc, Middle) - Any person who plays in the SCA, regardless of their membership status.

In Australia this word has negative conotations amongst some re-enactment groups. Synonyms include fairy folk and the silly people. Their usage is becoming less common.
