Poland is a nation in Eastern Europe that neighbours Germany and Russia and consists of mainly Slavic people. It began to evolve into a nation in 966 AD but was officially a kingdom until 1025. In 1569 it joined with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to become the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which lasted until 1795.
