According to Thoinot Arbeau in Orchesography, a double right as performed in a branle consists of a pied droit largi, a pied gauche approché, another pied droit largi, and a pied gauche joint. In other words a step to the right, a left step bringing the feet almost together, a step to the right and then a left step bringing the feet together.
